Shaft Construction

• Material: Fabricated from high-grade structural steel tube.
• Specifications: Conforms to ASTM-A-501-68, meeting a minimum yield strength of 46,000 PSI.
• Wall Thickness: Available in 11 GA (.120 wall) or 7 GA (.180 wall), as specified.
• Ground Lug: Furnished with a ground lug located inside the pole, opposite the hand hole.

Hand Hole Cover

• Poles 15 Feet and Above: Comes with a reinforced steel 2 5/8” x 4 5/8” access opening. The hand hole cover is a rectangular 3” x 5” stamped heavy gauge aluminum material, featuring a sealed door secured by a formed aluminum bar and a stainless steel tamper-proof screw.
• Poles Under 15 Feet: Includes a rectangular 3” x 5” stamped heavy gauge aluminum material with a 2¼” x 4¼” access opening. The sealed door is secured by a formed aluminum bar and a stainless steel tamper-proof screw.

Base Plate

• Material: Fabricated from structural quality hot rolled steel.
• Specifications: Meets or exceeds a minimum yield strength of 36,000 PSI.
• Design: Base telescopes and is circumferentially welded to the pole shaft. Slotted bolt holes provide 1” flexibility on either side of the bolt circle centerline.

Anchorage

• Anchor Bolts: (4) bolts fabricated from hot rolled steel bar with a minimum yield strength of 50,000 PSI.
• Design: Bolts have an “L” bend on one end and are threaded on the other. Bolts are fully galvanized and are furnished with two nuts and two washers.

Base Cover

• Material: Fabricated from heavy gauge quality carbon steel.
• Design: Two-piece cover conceals the base, ensuring a clean and professional finish.

Finish

• Coating: Electrostatically applied TGIC Polyester Powder Coat on a substrate prepared with 20 PSI power wash at 140°F. The process includes a four-step media blast and iron phosphate pretreatment for enhanced protection and paint adhesion.
• Durability: Cured through a 400°F bake for maximum hardness and durability, ensuring long-lasting performance.
